Southern Interior Flight Centre (SIFC) is seeking a responsible and enthusiastic Office Administrator to provide a high level of customer service, general office administration and accounting, student support and assistance to the Flight School Operations Manager at SIFC.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITY

Administration

  • Ensure that the SIFC office runs efficiently and positively represents the company.
  • Perform the front desk receptionist and general administrative duties
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Flight School Operations Manager by preparing materials for classes, contributing to the development of SIFC policies and procedures, verifying instructor’s time sheets, maintaining a sufficient level of office supplies
  • Track and input grades for courses
  • Liaise with external organizations and personnel for scheduling and contractual items

Accounting

Responsible to perform accurate and timely accounts receivable and payable functions, that includes:

  • Invoicing and Reconciliation
  • Receiving stock, tracking inventory and entering payables into computer system

 Customer Service & Marketing

Ensuring a high level of customer service at all times and contributing to the marketing of the flight school.

  • Being knowledgeable of the curriculum and responsive to customer requirements
  • Presenting a professional image as a representative of the Company
  • Handling merchandise sales
  • Booking student lessons, discovery and sight-seeing flights as required
  • Responding to information requests from walk-in, phone and e-mail inquiries

Student Admissions

Coordinating the admission process for students for Self-Paced and College programs, including liaising with candidates, instructors and Okanagan College.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE or SKILLS

  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated computer skills – MS Office including Word, Excel, familiarity with Internet, and Company Network Drive
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • 2 years of customer service and accounting experience
  • Previous aviation experience industry experience is considered an asset.
